WellSteps Biometric Data Notice

This Biometric Data Notice explains how WellSteps, LLC (“WellSteps”) collects, uses, retains, and destroys biometric information in connection with certain wellness programs. This Notice is intended to comply with applicable biometric privacy laws, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act, and similar state laws.

What Is Biometric Information?
“Biometric information” may include biometric identifiers or biometric screening results, such as measurements or data derived from health screenings, when used to identify or associate data with an individual participant.

Purpose of Collection
WellSteps collects biometric information solely to administer and support wellness programs requested by Program Sponsors and authorized by participating individuals.

Consent
Where required by law, biometric information is collected only after you have provided informed, written consent. Participation in biometric screenings is voluntary.

Retention & Destruction
Biometric information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law or contract. Biometric data is permanently destroyed when no longer needed using secure and industry-standard destruction methods.

Disclosure & Sale
WellSteps does not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from biometric information. Biometric data is disclosed only to authorized service providers or screening vendors as necessary to deliver wellness services and as permitted by law.

Your Rights
You may request access to or deletion of your biometric information by contacting info@wellsteps.com, subject to legal and contractual limitations.
